In 1884 British Consul-General Gould was given a siamese as a departing gift from the king. His wife then went on to breed the first siamese in the country, Duen Ngai, born March 1885 and Kalohom and Khromata, bron July 1885. Early to mid 1900's is when the cat came to the US, though the precise time is not known.
